Are you confused about what size portrait will look best when decorating your home?  An 8x10 is the uncontested "standard" when people are buying portraits.  Why is this?  Because in comparison to a 4x6 or a 5x7, it is!  But keep this in mind ... an 8x10 is smaller than the old wooden school ruler.  Really!

Now, take a look at your couch.  How long is it?  The standard is six feet.  Don't believe me, get a measuring tape and measure it.  An ideal size for one large print hanging over your couch is, at the very least, 20x30.  If you are arranging a grouping of 3 images, you can get away with a 20x24 and 2 11x14 prints.

To illustrate my point, take a look at this image that shows prints ranging in size from 4x6 to 30x40.
